Day 1,2 : Arrive Sydney
You arrive in Sydney, but there is no need to concern yourself with trying to find a hotel that provides an early check-in, this has already been arranged. Your private vehicle will be there waiting at the airport to transfer you to the luxurious Sydney Mariott, where you can now forget about the grindstone, and prepare yourself for your Australian adventure. While in Sydney, you have ample time to relax after the flight, enjoy the style of cosmopolitan Sydney, the Olympic city. Dining out in Sydney is an adventure in itself, with over 80 restaurants of varying quisine to choose from. All are within walking distance. Day 3,4,5 : Sydney
You will be transfered by vehicle to Sydney airport, where you catch a scheduled flight to Darwin. From here a private charter flight takes you to Bullo River Station. Flying into Bullo River Station is by far the most exciting, and dramatic way to enter the property. You pass through the Pinkerton and Spencer Ranges, which give the appearance of red sandstone totems guarding the property from the outside world. Prepare yourself for an outback experience like no other. Here Marlee and Franz Ranacher provide the adventure seeker an opportunity to participate in station duties, or tackle the premier game fish of Northern Australia, the Barramundi. The scenic helicopter flight is an absolute must, as it is only from the air that you fully realise the magnitude of the beauty that is Bullo River. This chopper flight takes you along the property's spectacular gorge to places where swimming is safe,as well as other areas that are home to Australia's prehistoric salt water crocodiles. Your time with Marlee and Franz will give you a personal insight into why Australians can fall so deeply in love this wild, untouched part of the world.
Day 6,7,8 : Mary River Delta
Here the action continues. Wild Plains Safari Camp is situated in the Mary River Delta, near both Kakadu National Park and Mary River National Park. The areas surrounding the camp are abundent with wildlife, such as buffalo, wallabies, wild boar, dingoes, and many species of reptiles. The wetland birdlife is also a highlight, with literally hundred of different species thriving in this area. Friendly, and knowledgable guides take you on four-wheel drive, quad bike, air-boat, or river boat adventures, that give you the perfect position to be viewing, or photographing this wildlife spectical - up close and personal.
The wetlands, and waterways also provide the angler, both novice and experienced an oportunity to target a large variety of esturean fish. The experienced guides can also take you out to offshore reefs to target species such as jew fish, salmon, snapper and shark. You will fish in areas that have rarely been visited by humans.This safari camp provides you with all the amenities to make this a comfortable and relaxing stay. The wildlife, and diversity of the land that this property offers, provides the adventurer, naturist, and fisherperson alike, a rare and fulfuilling travel experience.
Day 9 : Darwin
This afternoon take a charter flight from Wild Plains Safari Camp, back to Darwin. After a very adventurous trip to date, an evening of relaxation is waiting. You will be transfered from the charter base in Darwin to the Saville Inn. The Saville Inn is walking distance from the city center, and also provides stunning views over Darwin Harbour. You will be able to soak up the relaxed atmosphere that Darwin is famous for. Dine in one of the many restaurants of varying quisine, that are also in close proximity to your accommodation, before retiring for the evening, and witnessing one of Darwin's beautiful sunsets.
Day 10,11,12,13 : Far North Queensland
This morning a private transfer takes you to Darwin airport for a scheduled flight to Cairns. From Cairns, you will catch a charter flight to paradise. You land on a small island owned by Anna and Roy Turner, from here you take a short boat cruise, and wade into the beach of what can only be described as heaven on earth, Haggerstone Island. Anna and Roy have created their own "Robinson Crusoe" style hideaway. The rustic appeal of this island will captivate you like no other place you have traveled to. You truely feel like the only people on the planet! One of the greatest activities of the island is relaxation. If you feel more adventurous, there is your own private island to discover, and no shortage of great fishing and diving in one of the most untouched areas of Australia. The dining experience is unique in itself, with the day's catch being cooked over an open fire stove, and served with the island's own fresh produce, to create a tropical meal that is as pure as the air you're breathing.
Day 14 : Depart Australia
This morning you are transferred back to Dimbulah for your charter flight back to Cairns, where you commence your journey back home.You can now say you have experienced life as a pioneer of the harsh outback, and discovered the hidden beauty within. The outback is a significant part of Australia's history, this is only part of what makes Australia such an addictive country.
