Pilgrimage Jagannath Darshan Tour

Destinations : Kolkata - Bhubneswar - Konark - Puri
Day 1 : Arrive Kolkata
You would arrive at the Dum Dum airport, international airport, and from there you would be transffered to the nearest hotel with the help of our tour executive. The executive would be holding your placard at the arrival lounge and would be a friendly person. He would help you out on your expedition from thereon.
Day 2 : Kolkata
Next morning we would start our pilgrimage tour after breakfast. The sightseeing tour would involve exploration of various tourists spots which would include Indian museum, Dakshineshwar temple and Kalighat Kali temple. Your visit to these temples would make your pilgrimage tour an experience in itself. You would have your lunch midway in a good restautant.We would spend the entire day in Kolkata covering moving place to place. If desired, you can try out the local cuisine, which mainly comprises of fish and rice. “ Sandesh” , a sweet dish of Kolkata is quiet famous amongst the localite. Return back to your hotel room where your food would be served.
Day 3 : Kolkata - Bhubneswar
After breakfast we would leave for airport to board a flight for Bhubhneshwar. In Bhubhneshwar, you have the famous Lingara temple, which was constructed in 11 th centuary AD and which is one of the finest example of Hindu temples. The temples carries idols of Lingaraja god. We would spend some time in the temple and watch how prayers are conducted. We would try to invest the remaining time in sightseeing. In the evening, we would enjoy an Odissi dance recital at the Rabindra Mandap. Return back to hotel. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 4 : Bhubaneswar - Konark - Puri
From Bhubhneshwar we would leave for Puri. We would enroute Konark on way and would cover Sun temple. Being a World Heritage Site, Konark tends to attract number of tourist from all over the world. We would resort to a beach resort in Puri where you would can spend time in relaxation. On arrival at Puri, we would check in at hotel. Overnight stay at Puri.
Day 5 : Puri
We would dedicate the entire day in Puri and would start our expedition after breakfast. It is a full day sightseeing tour and would involve exploration of Mathas, Jagannath temples, Loknath temple. After exploration of scenic sites, we would have hardly any energy left to explore anything else. A relaxed evening near the beach (close to our beach resort) would help us to refresh our inner soul and mind. We would have our food in a relaxed atmosphere with a slide show infront of our eyes which would help us to understand the Orissan architecture. Overnight stay in the resort.
Day 6 : Jangothang - Lingshi [ 18 Km, 7/8 Hours]
The trail follows the stream for half an hour and crosses the bridge to the rightside. Start the climb upto the first ridge with a breathtaking view of Chomolhari, Jichu Drake and Tsrim Khang. Then walk towards the valley, almost flat for a while, until the climb to the Nyele la pass at an altitude of 4,700m. After the pass it's a gradual descent to the Lingshi camp, enjoying the panormic view of the peaks and Lingshi Dzong. Camp at the altitude of 4000m.
Day 7 : Bhubaneswar - Kolkata
From Bhubhneshwar, we would leave for Kolkata through a flight. Our representative at Kolkata airport would take you back to the hotel. Check in the hotel for an overnight stay in Kolkata.
Day 8 : Kolkata - Flight Back Home
In the morning, check out and move to the airport to board flight for your onward journey. We have made this itinerary keeping in mind that it is entertaining and provide a good overview of all the scenic spots in Kolkata.
